The Sturkie Road Hare Scramble is the oldest race in the series.  For the 19th year AHSCS treks north to race the goat trails of Sturkie.    The course has been labeled rough and tough and it does have its share of rocky sections but every year the layout features sections that have excellent flow through the woods.  Taking advantage of the terrain there will be some climbs and descents to provide some challenge but nothing that can’t be done by determined racers.

Each year a tradition of the race is to send a portion of the proceeds to the RiderDown Foundation and this year is no exception.  This is one of the great ways AHSCS racers can help the RiderDown Foundation achieve its mission of providing assistance to fallen riders.  You can learn more about this great charity at www.RiderDown.org
