2017 James Ranch

2017JamesRanch

For round 7 of the 2017 season we will return to northeast Arkansas near Pocahontas,  to one of our newest venues on the circuit.  This course was an instant favorite for racers last year.  Believe us when we say this race has a ton of terrain to choose from.  It includes river bottom sandy sections with not a rock in it, to other section where you are putting the suspension to work over rocky and rough ground.  The course features a number of climbs and descents with the most popular climb being the Power Line!  The Power Line is a wide open steep hill climb that everybody loves!  Another famous climb on this course is known as Big Dam Hill.  The site was evaluated for a potential lake in the 1950’s and Big Dam Hill is where they were proposing to place the dam for a lake that was thankfully never built.  Otherwise about half of this race course would be under water.

This race is held at the James Ranch Event Center, near Pocahontas, Arkansas.  The event center is located right on the banks of the scenic Eleven Point River. You’ll enjoy outstanding camping, amenities, and some great Hare Scramble racing.   The event center has limited lodging, so if you are interested in enjoying one of their finer places to stay call the Ranch now at 870-897-4464.  They also offer RV camp sites with full hooks for a nominal fee.  Stay tuned here for more details.
